It's a GIRL!!!

We went to our 20 week appointment/ultrasound on Thursday and we found out that we are having a baby GIRL!! We are so excited. I really thought it was a boy so I was kind of shocked when she said it was a girl, but I can't wait to have our sweet little daughter. I hope she's more like her dad so that she's not so emotional like I am :) Here is a picture of her cute little profile. I think she has my lips!

Baby!

This is the first picture we took of my pregnant belly. I was only about 4 months pregnant so it's not too big, but significant enough to make me know there is a baby in there :) The second picture is an early ultrasound that we had to have.... it was just a little peanut then...

Christmas

Christmas break was the best. I love when JJ and I don't have to work and we just get to hang out with each other and our families....

We decorated our little apartment the best that we could. Here is a pic of our cute little tree that Andrea and Austin gave us for our wedding. JJ was excited to put the ornaments on it- he's cute about things like that.
We had a Chinese theme for our Christmas dinner with the Meltons.... I love them. They make everything fun. Jon and Julie even dressed up for the occasion... ha ha. We're making "I love you" signs in this pic to send to Jobi since she and her family couldn't come until the next week.
We went over to the Mitchell's on Christmas Eve to be Santa's elves and help Ana and Jas wrap a million presents for the kids. I made my sister Kari's cinnamon rolls (so yummy) and we woke up at the crack of dawn to make sure we got to watch the kids run down the stairs and find their Christmas presents. They were pretty funny to watch.

My BEST Christmas present, well one of them, was getting my own car!!!!!!!!!! It may not seem pretty or special to anyone else, but if you knew that I have been riding the bus, walking in the cold and just the fact that we've been trying to get me a car for months, you would probably be excited. I seriously had tears in my eyes the first time I got to drive myself to work.... it really is such a blessing. JJ's friend Grant gave us a really good deal on it so of course JJ was excited about that!

My B-Day

This is me at the birthday party that JJ planned for me. He called my sister, they figured out a menu that was on my "safe list" (being pregnant has made me rather selective in what I want and don't want to eat), called a bunch of our friends to come over and made me feel really special. He even got me a new study journal since mine was all used up and scripture markers. I love him! Can't believe I'm twenty five. I keep thinking that when I hit big numbers like 25 or big events in my life that I'll start feeling older, but most of the time I still feel like a little girl...

Thanksgiving

We went down to St. George to join the Ingersoll clan for Thanksgiving. It was a lot of fun to get away from the cold, get a few days off of work, take a little road trip, etc.

This is Jage and I holding Oakley and T.Ray, a.k.a. the cutest babies ever. Everywhere we go JJ asks if he can hold the baby.... when we were dating I thought it was just a tactic he used to make me think he was cute, but I've realized he really does love babies since he still keeps asking....now he doesn't have to ask everyone else if he can hold their babies- at Thanksgiving dinner we told everyone that WE are going to have a baby!!!! We are so so so so so excited!! JJ is going to be the cutest dad in the whole world. I really don't know if he'll give anyone a chance to hold our baby.... :)

He just loves me....

I was having a bad day and JJ wanted to cheer me up so he took this pic while he was at work and then emailed it to me. I love when he does things like this..... I have the cutest husband ever!!

JJ's Birthday

For JJ's birthday I planned a weekend getaway to Midway. We went golfing, ate our favorite Caesar salad at Main Street Pizza and Noodle in Park City. We stopped by the hot pots (they were REALLY hot, the name doesn't lie), we went shopping..... it was good to get away and just hang out together. It is so beautiful up there!!

Camping at Silver Lake

We went camping and hiking with some of our friends. It was quite a little jaunt up
to the actual Silver Lake.... JJ, Jeff and Sifa all jumped in- they were nuts if you
ask me. I think I put my toe in and that was enough for me- WAY TOO COLD!!!

Fourth of July

"Balloon Day" with the Mitchells is one of my favorite summer events.
Seriously, their kids are so stinkin' cute. Ace, the one on JJ's shoulders
legitimately thinks that JJ is his best friend. He might as well be.... JJ
is always finding new things to take to ace to make him laugh or keep him
entertained....

The first picture is in front of our first apartment. Kind of ghetto but we
love it! :)

Minnesota

I have been really bad at being a "blogger"....
In an effort to redeem my lack of posting, I decided to do a recap
of what JJ and I have been up to since I created this blog last year...

At the end of May we drove to Minnesota for my dad's retirement party and my little brother's graduation. We managed to take some family pics while we were there- this doesn't happen very often since it's hard to get 11 kids in the same town at the same time.

My dad and oldest brother look SO thrilled that someone told them to
do an air guitar.... haha.... they are too much a like.

My mom and dad get funnier every time I go home to visit. I guess that happens
when you get older. They are so cute!

Aw.... how cute! We match and everything.
